Henry Hutcheson is a Partner with ReGENERATION Partners, LLC and specializes in next generation evaluation, leadership preparation, and business operations optimization within family owned and managed enterprises. He is based in North Carolina.

With 25 years of business management and family business consulting experience, Henry has successfully helped families across the US and internationally, and in a broad range of industries. While his focus is on succession from one generation to the next, his work entails resolving conflict and enhancing communication, planning and preparing the family and business for a smooth transition to the next generation, grooming the next generation to be high-performance leaders, and working with the exiting generation to define their role going forward after the transition.

Henry spent the first part of his life working for his family’s business, Olan Mills Portrait Studios, before launching an international management career with IBM, UPS and Sumitomo Electric. His last assignment before joining ReGeneration Partners full time was to lead the global integration of the IBM PC division with the Chinese company Lenovo. Since then he has advised a multitude of family business clients over the years with ReGeneration Partners. This unique background enables Henry to bring tremendous value to his clients as he can leverage the best practices learned from his family’s business as an insider, family businesses as an advisor, and three of the world’s leading corporations as an insider and leader.

Henry studied Psychology in Switzerland, has a BA from the University of Texas at Austin, and earned an MBA from Columbia Business School. Henry serves on the board of the Institute of Management Consultants and on the board of the Society of Financial Services Professionals. He is a member of the Family Firm Institute and is a Certified Family Business Consultant. Henry has lived and worked in 7 countries around the world and communicates in English, French and Japanese.

Henry is a frequent speaker at professional, university, and corporate-sponsored events.
